For the final in my video production class at Parkrose High, we had 2 class periods to make a video at least 2 minutes long. I basically spent an hour coming up with ideas, then an hour and a half shooting and editing this little piece about what it's like film making in high school. our studio is called Parkrose Community Television, PCTV.

Windows Media - 6.3 Mb (http://www.evincarr.com/highschoolfilmmaking.wmv)

Quicktime - 7.5 Mb (http://www.evincarr.com/highschoolfilmmaking.mov)

i shot with a PD-150 and used Final Cut Express on an iMac. (even though i'm a premiere guy, it's what's there)

Boo! Wtf you took the easy way out! I hate movies about making movies they're so lazy, yours was the laziest I've ever seen. When we had a project similar to yours when I was in high school(2 years ago) we ripped off requiem for a dream and in my class there were projects like yours that is mostly the filmmaker themself talking to the camera. This could have easily been shot in half an hour and edited in another half hour. Boo this!

I actually think it's pretty entertaining myself. 2 class periods? 6 people in the class? Come on man, give him a break......

yea, i knew it was easy, that's kind of why i did it. i already had like 120% in the class anyway. some people thought it was funny, so i thougth i'd share it.

anyway, pdx, glad you liked it.

hahaha... I liked it.

Favourite quote "I hate Macs"

ps. I can't stand Apple either... (and I own an iBook).

I learnt that on Macs.. you don't get a blue screen... just an annoying beachball that spins around... and around... and around... I think it just crashed!

I agree.

With that equipment you should be able to pump that video full of at least 40 "flash" transitions... and try to use slow motion more! :)

(i'm just kiddin, by the way)
