has anyone ever tried polishing a piece of glass with this?

No, but for several years folks have been trying to perfect squishing it between two pieces of glass.....you have about 50 pages of posts to read over at dvinfo:

yeah, i've read just about every page of it...that's why i asked if anyone has ever tried this..seeing how nobody has ever mentioned it before......

Yes, I have it and it has about the consistency of mayonnaise.
