This is stunning. I'll try not to make myself intoxicated with the thoughts about what this camera can do with a mini35 adapter and some good glass. It looks amazing with the one you have there already.. *Claps
We just need a couple of face closeups to convince everyone else here to start typing "hvxuser.com" in the address bar.

Really nice stuff!
It may sound really odd but I loved the fact that it was able to hold all of the movement inside the snowglobe. That kind of movement can cause some break up and I thought it held it really nicely even though this is compressed on top of it.
Thanks for posting this. :)

Thanks Steev... also good seeing the Marshall monitor in frame, and I can tell it does show full underscan by comparing the image on the monitor to your QT movie edges...

Oh man there is so many adaptors these days, its difficult to know which to use, I've seen great stuff from all of them.
Anyway this stuff is excellent, now I need to go save some money.

Holyzoo is posting some great stuff. Most of it is on DVInfo, but he's really putting the thing through a workout. Can't miss the Polar Bear clip...
Well I think this shows how this camera handles the darks aye.
I'v not seen so much tests don in low light, so this is interesting to see.
Thanks a lot for the footage.
Those lenses were breathing pretty heavily during the racking. What kind of lenses?
...oh wait. SLR. Okay.

DId anyone notice a subtle tho weird stuttering effect in the shots of the kite flying around? Any idea if that's how the camera recorded the action, or if it's an artifact of the QuickTime compression?

I think that's shot in 12fps or something like that - anyway, faster motion.

Looked like a higher shutterspeed to me.

Wazzaaah!!! Wow, I see there's a party over here too! Thanks for the kudos everyone. I've been concentrating on one thread primarily on DVinfo (my original home). Not to drag people away from DVXuser (my 2nd home) but I've poured a lot of mind share into the existing thread there:
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=59874
To answer a few questions, yeah, these Nikon still lenses will breathe a bit. The difference between a $650 Nikon and a $15,000 Cooke.
The kite footage and basketball footage has some high shutter speed for a high energy effect that's often also perceived as stuttery. I did it to test any motion artifacting in having such unique individual frames hitting the DVCPRO HD codec. There was absolutely none. I have more tests with attempting as much havoc and chaos for the DVCPRO encoding, and it just doesn't care at all. "Is that all you got? Come on! I've seen more chaotic motion back at the Panasonic engineering break room!" :D
I'll be posting a bunch more, since I practically take the camera everywhere I go right now. A full production Music Video is planned to start in a few weeks. Subject - MC Meathook and his Horror Porn concept video. Cholly Ha Ha Ha.

I loved the kite footage... 720p looking real good! Super colors, detail on the kite string, etc.
My wife made me play the polar bear clip 5 times. Quote her... "Why don't you do that kind of stuff?".
Thanks for the clips!

Thanks! And oops, I just realized I replaced the clip with one with no audio. In case you got the one with no audio, here it is again:

The most powerful HVX noiseless footage that I could see 'til now:

...where's the noise?...
Steev, you can get our dreams carry on, as before with the Kaku's files converted@PC side and now. This camcorder is -- if confirmed, the best indy/arthouse digital filmmaking handheld tool that any today's industry could give us.
Thanks again my/our friend!
