Is anyone planning to use this camera to shoot snowboarding or skiing? Better yet has anyone used this in cold weather yet?

I am wondering how the P2 technology holds up in below freezing weather. Does anyone with a manual remember reading anything about this?

I could see this camera being ideal for snowboarding videos with the ability to delete botched tricks directly from the camera. You end the day with a full P2 card of usable footage instead of logging through all the garbage at the end of the day.

I plan on helping some friends doing a PSA for a local ski hill. Problem is I didn't buy any
P2 cards, but might try and rent them for a week. I can't imagine cold temperatures will do much more than just zap battery life. At 32 degrees a fully charged battery has half as much power. So keeping batteries warm is key, but I would much rather use the P2 cards in cold weather with snow and moisture than tape. This camera is built for shooting ski flicks. The variable frame rates are just to freaking amazing to comprehend.

Currently Mike Single a cameraman with Natural History here in New Zealand is somewhere near or about the South Pole with a Varicam AND an HVX200. All going well and dog sled teams willing he should be back here in NZ next week. I will try and remember to report back with his findings. We are planning on bringing Mike along on our Roadshow release of the HVX200, he is a great proponent of the Varicam, having used it from Antarctica to Death Valley and he is really looking forward to using the HVX200 in the same conditions.
