Hey everyone,
As promised, here are a couple of run and gun clips that I shot yesterday. Standard def on Panasonic Master Series MiniDV tapes. I just got my p2 card today so I'll probably be doing variable speeds this weekend.

Sorry for the shakiness, I was zoomed in all the way and tripodless.

Wow. I don't know what others are going to say, but that looks great to me. That looked a lot better than much of what I've seen from the DVX.
The sunset with surfers walking was beautifula and very crisp.
Thanks for posting Michael

Wow, that looks good! Any chance of posting the full rez DV clip - even if it's a little shorter?

Looks good.
Would it be possible to convert a smaller clip (30mb) at full rez?
This would be helpful, thx Steve

I'm not going to adjust this one because I want to do it properly tomorrow. I'll bring out a tripod and shoot in 720p at variable frame rates. The clip I uploaded was 480/24p. Slight grading to bump up the reds. Everything else was set to 0.

Good stuff for straight to dv. I'm a surfer as well. were did you shoot that. Looks like SB. Put that camera on some sticks and show us some HD footage.

Ah yes, I was wondering if you shot SD or shot HD and downrezzed - now I know.

The clip I uploaded was 480/24p.
Are you sure about this?
The file I downloaded from your site is 1/2 480 rez.
It's 360x240

i gave the footage to my buddy and he edited it in 480/24p. the file came out at ~90 megs. for all practical purposes, I had him reduce the size.
This is a 480/24p screengrab. I blew it up 200% so you can see the detail. Again, it's SD uprezzed to HD. This is NOT an HD grab:

Enlarged for SD detail analysis.

No vertical smearing either, as far as I can see! Woow...
Update: Holy F S!!!!!!!!!! That was a Standard def recording; should have read that first. Jeez not bad for a SD recording, do you think!
