Circa $16,000 (US announcement it refers: $16,800, so...) to PDW-F330L (without lens) and circa $21,000 to PDW-F330K (with 1/2" lens). Circa $23,000 ($25,000 according the US announcement) to PDW-F350L (without lens). It seems there isn't a lens option available as PDW-F350K bundle to the true variable frame@1080p model (non-selectable one like HVX@720p), at least, in the japanese market.

PDW-F330K . . . . . $21,000 w/lens.
PDW-F350 . . . . . . $23,000 + $3,700 for Canon 8.5mm 20:1 (SD) lens = $26,700.
DIFFERENCE . . . . .$ 5,700 premium for variable frame rates.

F350 certainly is tempting, even though it's busting my theoretical "$20K limit" and only a 1/2" CCD. Hmmmm . . .

DSR450 . . . . . . . . $15,000 w/lens, bricks, charger, bag. Hmmmm . . .
SAVED OVER F330 $ 6,000
SAVED OVER F350 $11,700

Hmmmmmmmm . . . .

Regarding your SD temptation I would be out. SD is a bad deal for more than one/two years investment IMHO.

I will be with F-330K as affordable as possible, 90% for sure. Reasons: 1/3" CCD noisy chip.
