I DON'T BELIEVE IT! I was just on IMDb and saw this. Spielberg is the Executive Producer. He is also the Executive Producer on the Michael Bay Transformer film. I was surprised to see he produced Eastwood's Flags of Our Fathers. :undecided

What a brilliant idea!
And by brilliant I mean stupid.

And by great I mean embarrasing.

Wasn't Jurassic 3 enough of an affront?

Why in the world would a respected paleontologist (Jack Horner is involve in writing the script) want to involve himself in something as ludicrous as this?
(Check out John's link to Aintitcool)
Okay, so the answer can only be: There's no money in digging for bones.

It's in. Just found this list of E!'s list of the worst sequels of all time.

What was really interesting, though, is that there seems to be a sequel of "Plan 9 From Outerspace" in the works. Wasn't the first one bad enough?

Oh dear.
I hate the theory of the "troodon" humanoid.
from the aint it cool article:
Jack Horner confirmed what I had read previously, involving genetically engineered dinosaurs that ended up looking very human-like. He gave us the example of the concept of the troodon-human, an idea in paleontology that if the dinosaurs had not died, they would have evolved to become more human-like.
How arrogant to think that humans are the pinnacle of evolution. How arrogant to think everything under the sun is evolving to eventually be human-like. It totally goes against the theme of the first film, which was CHAOS rules the universe.

And why not, other than just trying to cash in on the Jurassic Park name, come up with different characters (in a non-sequel) to support his (Horner) idea of dino evolution. Maybe because he doesn't believe the story could stand on its own. :undecided
I heard JP4 was going to be like "Aliens" where marines are sent in. Maybe Cameron could direct. :)

I think JP4 was already made. It was called: Hell Comes to Frogtown (http://imdb.com/title/tt0093171/) starring Rowdy Roddy Piper.
Note the tagline: A new breed of enemy has taken over the world... Sam Hell has come to take it back.

If you've missed "Hell comes to Frogtown," you've missed Rowdy Roddy Piper's 2nd best film.*
*=They Live is first, of course.

First time I seen it I thought it rocked... Seen it a few months ago and it was a lot lower budget then I remembered... Ok "lazy Saturday on the couch" flick, but not as good as remembered.

looks like a mix between close encounters and jurrasic park. When and if they make JP4 then and only then will we know they have run out of movie ideas!

I'd read before that JP3 was plagued with massive problems during production and the director was not able to do what he wanted. People say Spielberg stands by the guy and wants to give him another change, ie JP4 was going to be made. I see the director is not tied to the film on imdb yet but I think it will joe johnston from JP3. I just wish JP2 was good.
