im almost finished with my Zthirty5 (my name is zakaree.. so z for zakaree.. anyways)
its packaged nicely in a black box like the micro35.. my ground glass solution seems to work very nice and i was wondering if anyone else has tried it..

i took a uv filer.. and instead of grounding it with grit.. i took about 4 pieces of SCOTCH tape and layed it over the filter.. (matched it up so the lines wouldnt be noticeable..) i trimmed the edges and viola!!!
its the perfect solution..

(this will only work with spinning ground glass.. there are still little lines from where the tape matches up, but with spinning it is taken out of the equation)

Good luck with that -- I'd assume it wouldn't work, but I hope you prove me wrong

so my Q would be how are you going to spin the UV glass...

I second this and add -- make sure it is mounted off-center. If you just spin a round piece of glass mounted center with the cam's lens, there will be a point at the center of dead motion -- i.e. you'll get a persistent "swirl" in the image.

good point.. ill mount it off center..
i have the uv filter mounted in another circular thing.. i have a motor mounted on the bottom of the box and a rubber band loops from the circle down to the motor and spins it..
but honestly.. im getting over this:)
i might just make a static
cuz this is ridiculous.. but honestly.. the scotch tape works... try it.. take a piece of scotch tape.. and hold it behind the lense.. (just find the sweet spot) it works..
only if they made a large piece of scotch tape. then i wouldnt have to worry about the lines

this has been discussed on dvinfo, and i think people said similar things... size...

i read there that people have used a 'bag' and it works pretty well.. i believe they refer to those bags u rip apart for vegetables etc...
