Just saw it tonight. Neat film. Interesting Story. Josh Lucas (I think that's his name) did a great job.:thumbsup: Worth seeing if you like sports movies.

I'm an alum of UTEP (Texas Western College at the time depicted in the movie). I was there from 71-75. Don Haskins OWNS El Paso. I haven't had a chance to see it yet. I plan to this weekend.

It looked entertaining. I hope it doesnt fall into the same pattern that most every other sports movie falls into. But i guess it'd be worth seeing for the bit where the guy's mother sits in on all his classes. That looked hilarious....

Okay, I went to this movie today. It was great. I AM biased as I said earlier but they did a great job on this. Some of the facts were sketchy but I can make allowances for drama. Don Haskins was a hardass coach. They didn't call him "The Bear" for nothing. I don't like basketball movies that much because I really don't care about basketball that much (except in March).
For me, this, along with Coach Carter and Hoosiers are the best. :thumbup: :thumbup:

i want to see this film. i think i might go see it this weekend with my dad cause he remembers when it really happened and such. hopefully i'll get to go this weekend; if not next weekend
