According Barry following Antoine, this setting [ LINK (http://www.dvxuser.com/V3/showpost.php?p=398393&postcount=48) ] reduces the noise problem and it solves all recent doubts & news regarding low light HVX performance.
Is there anyone that can give us some footage enlightenment on this?
Is it possible to post some footage following these settings with sample comparative without the same settings?
It would be so much useful to this HVX community.
Thanks in advance!

Well, according Barry's settings, we must see what detail is lost, what quality picture coming out from this settings. I hope this setting show us a more balanced picture, with the dvcproHD's codec detail advantages, more clean picture, and optimal latitude perfomance. I've noticed that with a ND filter in Canon Xl H1 we can have a good latitude on the sky but we lost details in the shadows (despite 4:2:0).
So Barry, can you show us various example of pictures we can achieve with various setting (included the last one that seems so important) ? Footage or screen grabs with the sky, or (nobody seems thinkin' about it) with flowers. Flowers of various colors.
Flowers can show us the advantage of the 4:2:2 beauty, don't you think Barry?
Shoot flowers!
Thanks Emanuel, you're very helpful! :)
Cheers:)

I'd like to see some small raw MXF files (or frame grabs) shot in low/moderate light with the following settings:
Gamma: Black Press
Color Matrix: Normal gamma
Detail coring: +5
Detail Level: -5
Barry, I know you're busy as all heck, but would this be possible?
I believe these were some of the settings you reccomended for
lower noise operation.
Thanks, Steve

Yup, in Barry's words as above-posted, there's the link:
Gamma: Cine-Like-D = most latitude, but most noise. Choosing a different gamma curve, like Black Press, can significantly lower the noise level.
Color Matrix: Cine-Like provides the most saturated, punchy, rich colors -- but also adds noise. The Normal gamma is significantly cleaner than Cine-Like.
Detail Coring: turning this higher can cut noise, depending on what your Detail Level is set; the higher the detail level, the more effect detail coring has.
Detail Level: detail level doesn't add any noise, per se, but it does sharpen and exaggerate the presence of the noise. In other words, the higher the detail level, the more noticeable any noise will be. Lowering the detail level to a less-sharpened level can significantly clean up the appearance of noise.Anyone available to test it?
