well, i read all these dolly posts, and all the clips made me want to make a dolly.

i was planning on making a dolly, but i saw that a tripod dolly was the same price as making one, so i thought i should just buy the tripod dolly. well uh...no. haha. i just recieved it, and well...its not very smooth.

Do you guys know of anything that could make it smoother? like putting rollerblade wheels on it instead of the rubbery/plastic looking wheels that are already on there?.

that is the one that i bought. im hoping that i made some kind of mistake, but im pretty sure thats its just shaky.

That thing is only going to work on a studio floor (slab).

Take it back.

Yeah, those are designed for moving a ([small] studio) camera between shots, not for using "on the air"

thoooose triangle things...

if you look through that topic, he shows how he made them, yes its a freakin hassle, he had to basically solder them into that shape. but looks like its worth it

I can vouch for that! This is a great way to use that dolly. Been using it for a while now, and love it.
