Teaser for Action Short

Hey, I made a teaser (it's relatively long, but doesn't have any plot info) for a short action movie I'm hoping to shoot this summer.

It's a quickie-took a few new shots, intercut it with some old unreleased stuff, and edited it all together in a couple days, so this was mostly for fun. As such, the quotes don't really flow, but ah well... Enjoy! (I hope)

Like the pacing. Looks like it was choreographed pretty well. I would like to know more about the story though.

Oh yeah... and coold sound fx for the fight scenes!

Sound effects = Great.

Although, I do reccomend some kind of motion blur on the action scenes... but thats just my opinion

Very cool.

The action music sounded like Medal Gear Solid, or some Hans Zimmer/Harry Gregson-Williams montage. I also noticed the Corpse Bride piece at the end.

Was the Japenese dub done by one of you guys? Or was it from another film?

Great ear-it was, in fact, the Metal Gear Solid 3 theme. The Japanese was just taken from various other films, we only have the on camera microphone for now. For the movie there'll by original music (probably slightly less quality than Harry Gregson Williams of course), and we're hoping for an external microphone.

I agree that the fights don't look particularly good in the trailer, though I think they somehow look more fitting in the context of the rest of the fight. Even so, I'll play around with shutter speeds until we start filming over the summer. Thanks again, all.

Yep, we do, I'm mostly just a lurker though (like here, come to think of it). They're one of our main inspirations. I've seen a lot of your stuff on that forum, actually, that board (like here, come to think of it) seems full of talented people.
