I thought about using one of those, but, by the time you make a platform big enough to mount your camera on and room for a handle (if desired) then I think the wheels would be too close and the platform would become tippy. I could be wrong but it's something to consider.

That thing is even smaller. I looked at that at Home Depot, it's really small! You'd have a really tippy platform using that, at least the other one is bigger and stands a chance.

that 3 wheel home depot thing has crappy casters though. it doesn't roll smooth, defeating the point....

interesting stuff. I still think it's hard to beat the 50 dollar skater dolly that Ted came up with. Especially since it's repeatable... precise and will also allow full 360 degree moves. Of course I'm saying this prior to building it.


Another option and I've done this is to use a good wide skateboard with loose trucks and a sandbag or cinesaddle and viola. I've done a lot of cool moves with my skateboard.. and can then pop off and bust my butt as well. Being in ya 30's and skating ain't easy.. sure effin painful..
