Decent concept + touchy subject matter + Farrelly brothers (producers) + Knoxville = really bad movie.
I thought the trailer was pretty good -- Knoxville, in a confessional, confides that he is fixing the special olympics to win money -- but the movie is not funny.
King Pin is one of my favorite comedies so I have high expectations of the Farrelly's.
Shallow Hal and the Ringer both strike me as attempts to handle taboo subjects from a humane (and sometimes strictly PC) view; neither movie has been very good IMO. Would King Pin have been funny if the Farrelly's were sensitive towards Amish?
