Maybe I'm just an idiot missing an obvious or something but I'm concerned about the quality of my images when played back on larger tv screens. With the help of you guys, I'm pretty good at shooting with the DVX and when playing back on the mac & pc the images are usually small good looking Quicktime files but when I blow them up full screen or play them on a television they look crappy. So how do I get a better image for larger play backs?

Here's random clips from a scene in my newest short being edited. Might be dark on some monitors.

I played this clip on a tv and man, it sucked!

I shoot in a tweeaked out F6 mode, edit on a mac and lost on this issue, lol.

Looking forward to some pointers.

Thanks,
Jay

are you exporting out to DVD i assume? what are your export settings? perhaps you just need to turn the bitrate up on your export.

how does my movie look on your tv in comparison?

C'mon John you should know me by now... I'm always trying to keep productive! lol

Yeah I'm exporting to DVD but don't remember the exact settings off hand. It's something like Sorensen 3, high quality but I never really played with the bitrate.

Your film looks pretty good on my TV's
