...and I'll try and do my best to explain despite the amount of partying and booze (who the hell puts New Year in the middle of Sci-Fest?)

My coworker bailed out a couple of days ago due to rather unfortunate family issues and I'm left without a modeller/animator... Pretty easy job, which is why I didn't worry when he said he would get down to it in January after the holidays, but now it's 3 weeks till deadline without a person to actually do the job.
I tried posting at cgtalk.ru, our largest CG community (thought local guy would be a plus), but it appears they're just a bunch of stuck-up arrogant pricks  so no help there... Went to cgtalk.com and it's some 30 or 40 bucks to register to be able to even post there, which hints to an even worse elitist crap... Or does it? I'll gladly pay if it's worth it.

Does anyone know where to look for a 3d guy online? Found a couple more boards, but they seem to be dead. Maybe someone here is more or less good at 3d, at least better than me? I don't want to bother Rich... It's just one, not too detailed, animated model in 2 shots (unless there is time for more). I could probably model it in 2-3 days, but then comes the texturing time and I'm fucked anyway. Or maybe you know someone who can and might be willing to do this?
Any and all help is much appreciated, really. We've got what appears to be a dynamite sou... err story, and it would suck not to be able to turn into a movie.

Cgtalk.com is great. It's $30 to register? I'm registered (free), though I joined a while ago. Cgtalk has some really quality, friendly members.
