WeeklyDV.com is a pure commuynity site - no commercial interests of any kind.

It allows you to post a short (you need to host the file itself) for people to view and comment. Shorts are based on a weekly assignment. You have 4 hours to work on your film - from concept to end of rendering and the video should be up to 5 minutes. Full rules below.

I love it!

"WeeklyDV.com site dedicated and devoted to art, process, tools and culture of DV filmmaking. Offering resources and tools as well as showcasing the best in fast, simple, yet elegantly beautiful DV shorts.

If you have a few hours to spare, access to a DV camera and a computer and an idea, you can participate. WeeklyDV.com is open to everyone who is willing to try an idea out in short form. Stop thinking, start creating."

"There are a few simple rules you must follow in order to participate in the WeeklyDV Capsule Series.

1) Your short MUST be shot on DV.

2) You must take no more then four hours to shoot, edit and produce your short.

3) You must host the short yourself.

4) You must compress your short in the Quicktime format. Any version is fine.

5) Be original. No one likes a copycat. Be creative.

6) Your short should be under 5 minutes in length. You should most likely shoot for around 3 minutes or less if you want to keep someone's attention."
