1. The ability to hold down the record trigger to record. Letting up would stop recording. Woudl be a nice addition but not a big deal.
2. Aspect ratio guidelines in the viewfinder/analog video output. 1.33:1, 1.77:1, 1.85:1, 2.35:1. it would be nice to be able to turn them all on and off individually so you can have one or two on at a time. Maybe even different colors for each one so you can tell at a glance for the ones that are close together like 1.77:1 and 1.85:1
3. A one button toggle to take everything off the display. All timecode, aspect ratio guides, everything. For when you want to just look at everything clean with nothing but the picture in the viewfinder.
4. Virtual film stocks. It would be kind of cool to have a little piece of software that lets us create virtual filmstocks for use with the camera when shooting. To control everything from sharpness to saturation, gamma, glow, color layers. Anything that might give the picture a certain look. We could us such a little program to create our own unique virtual filmstocks that we could then trade with others over the internet.
We could get it on the camera by having it in a certain file on the haddrive or memory card we capture the video too. Maybe the camera would have a little bit of memory on it so it could store a couple on there.
5. A tripod screw mount at the top of the camera with a top handle that can screw into it.
6. Some Oakley eyePhones so we can tap right into the viewfinder wirelessly and see the image on a 70 inch virtual Hi Def screen. Of course they should look just like the Juliet's because they've got to be stylish. . Maybe in 20 years.
