does anybody have any scripts for a short film. I really am just dieing to try out some of the actors here in college. There are alot of actors ready and willing, however i can't think of a simple script i can use just to test out and get a feel for their acting. all my original scripts are too dramatic and i really would like someting simple and easy acting wise so i can see where they stand.

If you need something really simple and short-Just to get a feel for the actors, just write something simple and short. You've written other scripts that are too serious, just do the same thing with less seriousness.

Adapt some thing. If you only plan to work out with the actors, you don't have to worry about being hastled by the copyright man. Back in the day my freind and I shot a seen from "The Young Ones" just to practice cutting live and being brittish.

Have fun with it.

Search scripts on google and use something from a film you like.

Watch the news, and pick a story off it, and write about it.

Or just wing it -- actors love improv.

Id prefer an actor to have to act a set piece that has defined character portraits that would be similar if not the same as the role I am casting.

When Harry Met Sally is quite fun for that sort of thing - simple, funny. Midnight Cowboy has some nice stuff in the script too.

Do my script if you want, it's a short/comedy.
