What if we had someone write a pretty decent script. Then had everyone submit their best work and vote our director from the winner. Then set up a paypal account and fund the winning script with the money raised.
It would be filmed on the dvx, maybe even raise enough money to get dvx.com members on the crew (as editors, dps, sound techs, etc).
What do you think?

Also if you are short on cash and couldn't donate then maybe you could put something up for sale on ebay! since we will have a paypal account set up, they could just make the deposit right into our fund!

that sounds kinda cool, logistically it sounds a little rough, but you could start it and see where it goes.

Hmmm . . . interesting. Not sure about the commercial one but I like the combined effort idea!

I'm with Matthew:
I'm game for a single script (simple, few actors) and see how each entry does with it. Heck, if the script doesn't get too specific about mood, lighting, emotion, etc. there could even be variations on how the story comes across which could be quite fun.
Anyone got a short script lying around? ;D
