Serious Magic and co-sponsers Panasonic, Alienware and DV Magazine have announced the "Give Us Your Best Shot" contest. First prize includes a $3,000 loaded Alienware laptop, a DVX100a from Panasonic, a light kit, tripod, and more.
You shoot one scene with your DV camera and DV Rack (30 - 90 seconds) in any style and send it in. There is a special downloadable DV Rack free version that is fully functional for the month of November (even if you've already tried the DV Rack demo).

Hi Mark
I can't see anything in the rules about eligibility of entries from outside the US. Can you confirm Serious Magic are accepting foreign entries (I'm in the UK).
If I won, would the DVX100 be available as a PAL version?! ;D
Thanks for any info.

Eric,
Panasonic U.S. is a co-sponsor of the contest. Unfortunately, they don't have access to PAL cameras. However, I'm sure you could offer an un-opened DVX100a (with known origins like this one) here on DVXUser or on EBay. Also, the second and third prizes are "PAL-friendly". As is the $200 off SM products coupon that you get just for entering.

Sorry to ask what is probably the dumbest question of the day, but does that mean that they want only ONE shot total ? Or can it be a series of shots that add up to 30 seconds of video ?

Also, would you happen to have a LINK to the site where the contest is offered?

Thistlebop,
The call for entries says that what is needed is three shots that make one *scene*, not shot. A link to the contest page is in my original post. So you need three related shots that combined total between 30 - 90 seconds.
