Here are some of the clips WMV cross converted - seems to give a better result for motion/frame rate with the clips on the PC. All the clips are 720p because windows media didnt like the 1080p conversion from the mac. These are from the mxf -> quicktime photo jpeg -> windows media so do not judge them for the best quality - although I really like the quality even after these codec changes.
Someone will have to mirror these soon or they will go down after 500 or so downloads.

Thanks for sharing... the clips look great!
The resolution is fantastic and the colors are nice. My only complaint is that the latitude looks very narrow - only a few stops, even - in the clip where he's following the guy riding the bike down the street, the blacks are crushed completely while the other half of the image is completely blown out. Of course, he's using auto iris so it's a little hot anyway, but even stopping down a few is going to render even more of the dark areas unusable. This just means that you're going to have to have a lot of control over your lighting setups, which makes it less useful for documentary situations where you may not have the ability to do so. Lucky for me, I do mostly narrative filmmaking so I have more luxury to perfect my locations. And thanks to the wonders of video, at least you can see what you're shooting WHILE you're shooting, so you don't get any of those "surprises" after developing. The HVX is quickly shaping up to be my favorite camera over the 3 main HDV alternatives - although the P2 and variable framerates alone make it almost a no-brainer.

Since he is run and gunning his stuff, there is practically no control of the exposure - in more controlled shots (other clips from a few weeks ago) i've seen 7-8 stops.

Yeah, that'd be great. I started downloading them on vacation, and now that I'm back, they're gone. (Kinda like sitting down for dinner when your Mom calls to catch up. Mouth watering and tummy growling . . .)

Sorry I had to pull them because I was getting close to bandwidth limit. If someone wants to mirror, I could pass them along.
