JANUARY DVXFEST UPDATE
It's that time of the month again. *Some of you are deep in the throes of editing, while others are waiting for the FEDEX guy to deliver your DVX. *The January DVXfest deadlines looms, but you've still got until midnight, January 31st to enter your five minute masterpiece. *As long as I get a working link to your film by midnight on the 31st, you're in the running. *Some of you have asked if that's midnight EST. *Since we're an international community, as long as it's midnight January 31st in some part of the world, you can still enter. *For those of you living on the international date line--why not use that extra day for some cool fx work?
As a reminder, your film must be *entirely* shot and edited during this month and can't contain any copyright violations. *Message me with your link or email me at xtol7@yahoo.com. Full contest details are available at:

COOL PRIZES
DVXfest is primarily a monthly short film festival and a chance to have your work seen by hundreds of fellow filmmakers. *But what could be better than showing off your film and getting a cool prize? *Plus, all 2005 monthly winners will be eligible for the Best of DVXfest 2005 award and the sweet prize that goes with the title. *The January winning filmmaker will have a choice of one of the following prizes:

Links to the submitted films and the voting polls will always be posted in the Cafe ala DVX Forum on the first of the month. *Additionally the links will be posted in the Latest DVX News/Articles and the Contests Forum. *All comments should be posted in the DVXFEST SHORTS thread in the Film Discussion forum. *Film submissions are always due on the last day of the month. *Voting will take place during the 1st week of the following month.
COMING UP...
February -- This month will have a required theme and a required object (to be announced February 1st). *All other rules apply.
July -- *July is DVXfest: The Zombie Edition. *We'll be accepting films made from January to July 2005 that feature the undead. *All other rules apply.
