I was just thinking that it would be a cool idea to have one of these 24 or 48 hour film contests take place at one of the DVXuser meetings. *Never got a chance to participate in one so I thought it would be a good idea. *Or, we can have Barry or someone else come up with some general guidelines (Like: its a narrative or a comedy or whatever and you must include a has been character and some ice and a broom... you get the idea) post the rules at certain time online, then we get 2 days to finish our short and we got to have it postmarked within 48 hours. *Could be the premise for one of the dvxfests... what do you guys think?

Interesting idea. Considering that many of the DVXfest normally get made in a day or two--it's probably workable. If folks like this idea I'd consider doing it one month. We'd have to get people to sign up beforehand though. I wouldn't want to do it if there were only a couple entries.

Yeah, it would be fun. Interesting to see what we could produce in two days. Hopefully other people here will be on board.

A 48hr film fest would be fantastic. Because I'm not part of the contiguous 48 states I never get a chance to do these. Not worth the trek through canada. If it happens I'll try my damndest to do it.

Ok, let's see how many teams we can get signed up for DVXfest-48 for May 2005. If we can get 10-12 teams, it's a go.
