Any one know why i cannot seem to play back clips smoothly in FCP 4.5hd.
Got a dual 2.7ghz with 4ghz ram and a 500gb graid. And the damn things choking on me ,plays back 8 streams of DV no problem so i dont think its the system. And ive set my sequence to Kakus footage settings but no joy dropping frames still. Do these P2 clips work better in FCP5 anyone tried them some feedback would be great.:)

Does anyone know if some of these clips are corrupted in some way. The cars passing clip drops frames yet the bamboo plays back buttery smooth.

do I have to download some kind of DVCPRO codec? I've not been able to get -any- of these clips to play in QT, FCP, or VLC. Frustrating.

My system.

iMac 2.1ghz
OS 10.4.3
QT 7.0.3
FCP 4.5HD

fcp 4.5 has dvcpro codecs built in you should be able to play them through that as long as your sequence settings match your clips.
