they have several different models to choose from but the one I got was $445. I order it from Canada where they are based so with shipping it came to $480. I got my 4x4 Tiffen Filter from a place in California. I paid $130 because I needed it in 2 days but the normal price is $114. You have to shop around for the best price on the filters though. I only have a UV Haze filter now but I want to get some other kind later on.

cavision filters are $50 for glass (3 for 135), $20 for resin (3 for $45). I will know the quality in about 2 hours when i get one.

The Cavision price list that I have (most current) lists their glass 4x4 filters at $20 and a set of 3 for $60. I am kind of skeptical over a $20 filter when I paid $130 for my Tiffen UV Haze.

Crap.... $130 for a UV filter?? I wonder how much of that is substance and how much is just marketing. We all know how horribly marked-up video accessories are.

I have a resin $20 filter from cavsion in my hand right now, and for the price it is optically pretty clean, infact amazing. It is an fx filter though, and you guys gotta remember your working with a digital image a fraction the resolution of film, so dont get to crazy spending mad $$ on filters.

Is it safe to use Lens cleaner and Lens paper to clean Filters?
