I am not a pro in a lenses world, and I just wondering - The set of wich lenses you using with your custom-made or purchased 35mm adapters? Can anybody suggest some good set of lenses for cine-like, dramatic production, not documentary, to keep the budget as low as it possible and have lenses for most common tasks? Any nikon/Canon lenses?
The "ideal" set of lenses would cover from wide to telephoto in as many "steps" as the budget allows. They should be "primes" (fixed focal length) as opposed to "zooms".
The maximum aperture should be as big as the budget allows. One thing to keep in mind: this is an investment! We don't buy lenses every day, so buy the best you can afford (even if is one lens only). You will enjoy the QUALITY for many years every day!
Start with a 1.4/50 (Nikkor or Canon) and get a wide (1.4/35) and a medium telephoto (1.8/85 or 1.4/85) latter. Stick with one brand only to avoid further hassle mounts changes.
With these three lenses you can shoot feature after feature. No changes and no regrets. Add lenses and/or converters (wide, doublers) as experience/demand will increase and the budget will allow. Good luck.

So what about zooms? 1.4/50 Nikon/Canon cost approx ~ 600-1000
more of the same here:

Synth, where are you at? I got my 50mm Nikon AF f/1.4 for about $250 new. A lot of people will buy the cheaper 1.8 or the Sigmas/Tamrons instead, but to me there's a really obvious drop in both optical and build quality.

Ahh....I am far far away from USA and EU. In my country the price is high for such kind of goods (SLR, lenses, stc) and even higher the in EU. And the second reason that I dont have any chance to buy on Ebay, because most sellers with good stuff and good price dont have International shipping.
So wich set of lenses others use?
