These are shots I took yesterday morning for a DVD project I'm doing for a cattle operation here in Texas. These were taken about 5 minutes apart, but the 2nd one will be interpreted as sunset, after a long hard day of herding cattle.

Incidentally, I grabbed the 2nd still at a point after the horses had walked further away from the camera, just so you could see the number of cowboys that were in the shot. They actually walked past the camera and regrouped for the shot.

I hate to admit it, but the camera was resting on a old cow patty. I love the smell of cow crap in the morning. :P

Cool Jobie. I'm a sucker for cowboy stuff and find it all fascinating and relaxing! After seeing OPEN RANGE (one of the best movies of the year--that gunfight was probably the best I've seen in a couple of years), I'd die to see another western--fiction or documentary.

I'm in Texas too (South Texas) and I have been working on something similar.
