UM...( get it?...UM -- UrbanMouse) anywayz, I filmed that guy in the basement here with the idea of what I wanted on the DVX of course...then created the shapes i kind of wanted (didnt get too crazy because of time constraints) in illustrator and flash( to get flash shapes into illustrator just select the final shape from flash and copy & paste it into illustrator, no exporting needed). Then I had to flesh out the animations of the reveals of the shapes so i used photoshop to mock up the look. I took the shapes into afterFX and used animated track mats to reveal the small text area that says scanning, access code..etc., the print recog. is straight from illustrator with a track mat reveal, the scrolling text was code from some website and i animated it with a gradient transparency mask to make it look like its fading. The hand left behind is a screen shot of the point he touchs it and i used photoshop to erase everything else but the hand then used a mode to make it look like it inprinted on the "hologram screen". Thats about it....
Hey Zoom and Nickybee, I'm available if you need any FX for your flick... ;)

Thanks to all...any validation feels great. *::)
I think I answered that somewhere but it might have been someone else that asked whos post I replied.
Ok, here it goes...I went into business with them on the graphics side of things for a while and worked on a Doc called "12 O'clock street kings" about dudes doing tricks on super bikes, promotions, animations, CD covers, demos, blah blah blah, then I hooked up the studio to a computer to be able to edit, compress, and compose digitally for them. I would create EPKs in flash and send them out. Things were going too slow for me though dollar wise so I had to get a "real" job since I have 2 kids. They just came out with a new CD called "Graffiti Roc" (plug..plug)
and we are planning a few music videos for it along with a short featuring them called "gimme a slice". I also consult (for free) on what and how to do things technically when they run into problems with what seems to all kinds of things. They just finished the Vans warped tour which i was supposed to shoot but the rain scared me off. They are opening for Cypress Hill at Roseland in a few weeks(www.lordsofbrooklyn.com) that I may shoot if i can get permission. Last time they made shut down my stuff. I don't do anything musically with them since the only thing I can play is the radio...hehe thats not entirely true but it sounded funny.
If you check out their CD and like any tracks I can most likely get you permission to use it for your short since they released it independantly.
Kudos to the indies!!
I think thats about it.
Your piece is looking great by the way and I love the orange tinge in some of those shots (my favorite color is orange) I also really loved that brief shot of the legs walking in the shadows.

cool thanks Opressor Can you PM me the contact info for the rights? We have talked to a ton of NY messengers this week as they are up here from the worlds in seattle. LOB definitly matches the style of these guys.
I havn't heard Graffiti Roc yet but All in the Family is in my CD player as we speak.. Its one of those 90's discs that I havn't got sic of yet.

Check your PMs...
The new CD has a different style, i guess old age makes people get more laid back. :) They made a remix of RUNDMC's sucker MC that I love and cant wait to do the video for on that CD. Hehe, i used to be a bike messenger back in the day too, almost killed me.
