False Information on Snopes.com

This is an entirely, thoroughly bogus article:

"The Poseidon Adventure" was written in 1969 and the 1972 film version was the first. What's worse, the "IMDb" page they link to is hosted at Snopes.

(It couldn't have been an unrelated movie with the same title, because the character names are the same.)

This is the second such article I read on Snopes today that have reason to doubt.

It's like they're trying to prove something about the unreliability of internet information, but all they're doing is adding fuel to the fire.
