DVX100a Detail Settings Document

i ran across this in a google search:

It just shows all 6 scene files and their detail settings. I've been polishing up on several skills; mostly writing and lighting. Lately I've been wanted to dive into the technical aspect- i'm wondering what detail settings you guys use, and what you think would be good settings for particular shots. Does Barry's Book go into detail on each setting? thanks gents
