I m far more impressed by dvx footages than hvx ones. i firstly wanted to buy the hvx200 but the footages shown are too "real", too "videolike". i hope we can see some new stuffs that will prove that i m wrong. it seems that shooting with dvx is near shooting with 16mm: whatever you re filming, whoever is filming, and you get a good filmish result. hvx seem to be more complex. we have a better resolution, but something is lost, i don t know what ....

I would have to strongly disagree with that. it takes a bunch of aspects to make the dvx 'look' filmic in my opinion. you cant just take out a stock dvx and expect it to look filmic. its about lighting, shot angles, dof, perspective, etc.

I've seen many people post dvx clips on this site that were simply stunning; but i've also seen more so that look like home video cameras. i haven't even used the hvx yet, and i'm not saying its better or worse; but i'm sure that with the correct person behind the camera you can get amazing results with it.

maybe, but the HVX200 footages shown here were done by professionals with lightings, .... and i saw tons of students dvx footages better than that ......

calm down guys ....
that s the problem here, every time we re giving a bad (but personal) opinion on the cam people are getting agressive. we re not playing with children lifes for god sake!
i m just comparing footages not numbers. i don t care about number of lux, ...., that s not my concern, i m not a tv reparator. i just want to have a good feeling with the footage. and i m waiting for the hvx for 1 year, like a lot of panaddict. but for now i prefer the dvx look. the hvx look (for now because we just have a few footages) look so boring ..... mabe we should give it to students and amateurs to see what it can do
