I've used Panasonics new 900 24p cam (runs about $35K with lens) and its friggin awesome. However, the DVX100 is not far behind. It's just lacking those fat CCDs and a nice lens. It's a good $4k investment, awesome for spec work and I believe ideal for film students who want to make their projects look big on a low budget.
Exciting things are happening with video right now. Canon and Sony are on their way with 24p and they should once again revolutionize DV filmmaking.

Wow! Those looked like high dollar professional type of commercials. The Avalon footage was amazing, are you sure you used a DVX100 :D Gives me something to aspire to. Well done.

Is that on his site somewhere? His first line above says "see the DVX100 in action"....

I noticed that too.
"See the DVX100 in action..."
and "I've used Panasonics new 900 24p ..."
I took it to mean "THIS IS THE DVX IN ACTION"
So, clarity is needed here. MR. Brown, if you are listening...

Fitz's Root beer: nice idea :D
(The one who talks to Mrs Johnson, the trainer I guess, almost to me on the reduced size clip, he appears quite a bit too much "interchangeable" with the one who has just opened a bottle, the last player who provoqued being expulsed I guess. I mean it is not _immediately_ clear that they aren't the same person. [Sorry for such poor English.] Well it would be easier to me if the last expulsed player approached the bottles left->right then went out of field to the right and we had a shot of the trainer turning his head to his left while looking at him reaching the expulsed companions, the body possibly still "facing" the playground.
Well I guess I just should be looking at it at full size.)

... the body possibly still "facing" the playground.
of course I mean the trainer's body, while his head is turning to his left (to the right in the frame).
