1st DVX PROBLEM

Has anyone had a problem with the 1st DVX having a soft black spot in the middle of the frame? It happens mostly in bright light and sometimes the screen will flash ND NG.
Neutral Density No Good I assume. But what is the spot all about?
HELP would be greatly appreciated!!!!

do you have a filter on?

ND NG shows when the ND filter is set between stages. Don't know about the black dot, have you checked out to see if there is a spot on the lense? Does this spot show up after you have captured the footage?

No filters on. only the ND's sometimes. The lens is clean. I can see the spot in the LCD and yes It is on the footage. I fear that something is wrong with the lens elements or ND filters perhaps.

I know exactly what you're talking about; there's nothing worse that having a pigeon shit on your lens. That's why every time I go on exterior shoots I bring a shotgun :)

hey!!!! thats what it was. Pigeon poo poo. man..... thats a relief. I thought something was seriously wrong. nothing a little windex and sandpaper cant take care of!!
