Here are a few grabs from a feature I'm shooting in January. I did some tests a few months ago with my new FX1. I was constantly amazed by the latitude of this camera. The top shot was lit with just the sun and a bounce board. The bottom shot was lit by a hundred watt bulb dangling from the ceiling, a chinese lantern for fill and eyelight, and a 425 watt compact fluorescent as a rim light, which went blue to simulate moonlight coming through the window.

Wow, that looks really good. I like the first one best. I think the key light on the second one needed to be diffused. It looks too harsh. Of course, this might be what you were looking for it, but I am not keen on it. It doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the light in the shot.
Or perhaps there needed to be just a little more fill on the actor's right side?
I don't know, something just doesn't feel right about it. But the resolution, framing and details of both shots are really good.
I want to see more! Please post more when you get them.

yes very very good shots.
if diffusing the light bulb isnt the style...i'd say get a lower wattage bulb

The bulb was just a naked bulb dangling from the ceiling, a practical which was established in the wide shot. The raw footage is actually darker, I brightened the still for viewing on computer monitors but might have overdone it. I'll post more as I shoot.

If I may ask, what frame rate are you utilizing for your final project? Convert to 24P?

I'm shooting 60i and then converting with the Nattress Film Effects filter. I'm quite pleased with the results. The scenes look phenomenal on my 42 inch HDTV. Takes forever to render, but I'm in no rush. By the way, those shots above did not employ any color correction.
