I have got to get an anamorphic adapter. Those stills are beautiful. Would love to see them moving. :-)

thanks a lot. the stills dont do it justice. I dont think im gonna post anything till its done and that wont be for a while. lots more shooting to do. its my thesis project for school. regarding the anamoprhic adapter i love it. The only thing that gets me nervous is not being able to protect it with a UV. Its a big peice of glass. besides that its worked great. One thing i have been thinking about is if i had shot it thin because the extra res could of made up for any image quality loss from adding an extra peice of glass. Not that i have any problem with the quality that im getting. Oh well next time.

I like the rooftop session grabs.
Regarding the elevator WIDE shot. *Did you attempt to use a bounce card at all? *Left side looks darker than should be.

Jesse,
Those shots taken on top of the roof... Were they on a building at 18th street in Manhattan? I think I used to work there!

its on the roof of a building down in tribeca. my friend lived there for a couple of months. I didn't use a bounce for the elevator shot. It was real last minute on the way up to the roof. But your viewing on a computer monitor. Its so dark on an NTSC monitor, and all these stills are pre color correction. You know how it goes. This is just a sample of this project. Its my thesis for SVA. It wont be done till spring but I hope to have a trailer for it in a couple of months. I let you guys know when its on my site. If you want to see some more "interesting" stuff Ive been doing with the DVX check out www.deadkidz.com there are 3 very short films on there. Its a work in progress called "thirty seconds" which is 30 short films. we post them as they are completed and a dvd will be put together once/if we have all 30.

Jesse,
Watched all three of those shorts. Very nice work. I especially like your use of sound. What sound programs are you using?
