Yesterday I made a little montage of the things i've been filming lately, and I thought I should show you guys some grabs. Most of these are CC'd manually in Adobe Premiere, and some of 'em I used Magic Bullet on. I filmed with my GS120. tell me what you think.

Yeah, they look nice. Vignetting can look cool or really naff IMO, it depends on the situation. It is best for montage stuff mainly. I', guessing the GS120 is native 16:9? I don't like black bars....

I like the first 3 the best, although I don't care for the vingetting on the first two. Pretty decent shots overall. I have the GS65, I'd like to see some raw grabs so I can compare the quality of the two cameras.

I personally enjoy letterboxing of 16:9 footage. The black bars give the picture a more stable feel.

What is "vingetting"... is that the dark edges? I also like to have the black bars there.. makes the image look more filmlike in my opinion.. I can upload a few raw images later today.. i'm at school now, so i don't have access to them..

thats not 16:9.
The colors seemed a little dull to me

thats not 16:9.
I didn't realize these specific grabs weren't 16:9. I was really just commenting on black bars in general

grabs are pretty decent.
but whats wrong with black bars? I like wider aspect ratios.

Wow. I own the PV-GS120 as a secondary cam to my FX1. Very well done with those images!

The 5th, 7th and 9th are pretty nice (the one with the lady in the kitchen with the light coming in is very nice)...the others are a bit videoish for my personal taste.

thanks for all your comments.. i know most of them look very video'ish, but i wasn't really trying to get a filmic look either.. except for the one with my mom in the kitchen..

Nice grabs, Keiser. I think I like the 1st, 2nd, and 6th the best. You always make the best of the gs120. My hat's off to you.
