What is a size of HVX200 CCD(s) or technically give us 'Active sensor pixels'** of HVX200?

**The formulation 'Active sensor pixels' I found at ARRI D20 site (http://www.arri.de/prod/cam/d_20/tech_spec.htm)
that is written from the honest German's engineers and like a camera makers I trust them the most. It's about the World famous German engineering quality. No bluffing the customers.

Why no any Panasonic answer on that question? I don't know?

Is Panasonic HIDING that from the customers?

I am not only one who asked for that.

Let me quote also from "Reader Reports from DV Expo West" a guy Brian W. whom I found report at Mike Curtis"s HD for Indies:
"I asked two reps what the true native resolution was (960X1080? 1280X1080? 1440X1080?) and they both said 'I don't know.' "

Also I collected Jan's discussion about the similar topic from another forum and you can find the excerpts at

http://www.sanjinjukic.com/index_1080pCCD.html

Or I could conclude like Graeme Nattress that "Native CCD resolution is irrelevant."!!!

Congratulations! You are the 1000th person to ask this question! As your prize you will recieve the amazing oportunity to use the amazing SEARCH tool and plumb the DVXuser archives to find out your answer!
:)

All kidding aside, this subject has been beaten to death like a baby seal at a fur traders convention.

Please do a search and download some footage. i gaurantee you will not care what it's pixel count is nor how the hell they made it capture all that juicy clean HD footage.

I would calm down with this kind of furious mind about HVX200. By the way you can download my low-cost HD cams-mix footage at

No offence, but I am not the one with the HVX broshure on the opening page of my website. Honestly I'm just poking fun because this has been one of the most debated and speculated topics about this camera since it was announced just before NAB.
Panasonic has decided that they really don't want a pissing contest over pixels.
And I understand why. I shot some of my commercials this year on the DVX and after color grading them most people think it's 35mm. So why should I tell them I shot it on DV? It doesn't make the footage any better, and may even play into the preconcieved notion that you can't produce high broadcast quality video in DV, thus handicapping the footage before anyone has a chance to make up thier own mind.

Honestly, if your not an engineer it is very hard to appreciate a number like pixel count.
In video more is not necessarily merrier. Just right is. I have had the pleasure of shooting with this camera first hand. I have seen it dysplayed on a 34" Sony HD Wega and it is clear to me that it is indeed "just right" whatever that number may be. I am not religious about this, I think the JVC has a surprisingy good looking image too. I have no clue what the specs of that chip are.

BTW that link is not working.
