Hey everyone, thought I'd jump on the bandwagon (granted pretty late in the game) and offer my services as a composer. No formal training, just picked up some samples and started screwing around with 'em, so guess I can play last resort when the other two can't get to your short. Preference goes to action, then romance shorts. Also up for non-contest stuff. Constructive criticisms and suggestions for the samples are welcome too.

Michael--welcome to the board and thanks for your generous offer. Believe me, you're not late considering most films are scored in the 2 weeks prior to the end of the competition--errr make that 2 days. :)

Or more like "Um...er...the score is in the mail." :)

Michael, I was surpised by some of your stuff. Pretty diverse & some nice sounds ... much better than most of the local aspiring composers I know.
If we hadn't already landed a composer I'm really on fire for, I'd be talking to you for sure. Thankfully, our project's already in good hands, but I'm sure you'll have some interest on this board, if you've not rec'd it already.

Welcome aboard, Michael. Those are some good samples! I enjoyed listening - especially to the Epic pieces.

Thanks for the generous compliments, all. No biters so far, but I guess that's an even better sign-that they have composers they're happy with and/or are already further along in their projects. .....hopefully...? Anyways, the offer will continue to stand.

Was your Hitman score inspired by the Oldboy score by any chance? :) I like your samples too, good work. I agree with ChrisHurn, my favourites are the Epics too

Hm... Never thought about that. Probably subconsciously, I did use to listen to it a lot. But I was actually going for more of a Danny Elfman thing, but turns out I didn't put enough variation in and, frankly, was too lazy to go back and fix it since the job fell through.
