Cullman Tripod Head, Is This Worth Anything??

i saw an add for a tripod head, here's the pics:

i have no idea what the thing underneath is. but it's being sold for about 25 $
anyone know what this is worth. i think i'm getting it for a homemade dolly

For $25 bucks? Not terrible. It'll take some practicing to get smooth pans/pivots, though. It's not really a video head.

But the real question is: does it come with the camera mounting plate? It's pretty standard (Hama uses the same), but it's smaller than the kind used on Bogens and such.

i got it :D

it does have a camera plate and indeed it's smaller than i'm used. it looks like these were used for some kind of event cause the thing underneath is some consturuction leftover from a stage they were moounted in. but i think i can get rid of it.
