Mods... feel free to edit or delete this post if need be, but I just thought I'd let you DIY guys know that I'm working on cables and so I've bought some pretty good quantities of various solder... and resistors... and I'll be offering this stuff to members with at least 20 posts... for less then my total cost.

The only reason it's worth anything is because you normally have to buy a big volume of anything to get the price per each down... and I did that planning to share it with you guys.

Either way I don't care, but I just thought I'd let you know that you have the option if you want it. Do the math and you'll see this is not to make money... it's all at a small loss per order. I'm doing it because I like this place and thought it may be helpful.

Solder, resistors, and maybe some cable-making stuff later.

I'm looking forward to that cable :) I can't wait to see those gold tip cables, because the ones I had were garbage

If anyone else wants to try their hand at doing their own I'll support that effort with any knowledge or parts that I can supply... just check the marketplace and eventually I'll have everything I'm using available as DIY parts with dirt cheap shipping.

Nothing I do on these boards is for money... but charging cost for 1/200th of the good deal I got is a good way to share product for pennies... and sort out the people who will take ANYTHING if it's free.

And another... check the new "search by location" and you'll see a good friend of mine. I need to register myself on that map.
