ok lets say i shoot my movie and i edit it, now how do i get it to the powers that be in order to be entered into the contest and what kind of compression should i have, i use fcp5 and a g5 to edit, thanx.

There will be a submission website where you upload your file and then you mail a DVD out to Jarred. You can either submit a wmv or a mov.
Nothing to get straight...

ok, what do u mean nothing to get straughtm i want to know the exact steps so i can enter hence me getting it straight, i wasnt implying that they had everything confused rather i did, so i just burn a regular dvd right but the file i upload how big can it be?

ughh... The contest/submission starts on December 1st. Like Yankee said there will be a website to submit your films at. It's not up yet, you can't submit yet and there are no rules for submission yet. Jarred implied that this contest is gonna be held differently from the previous, so it's likely that the guidelines for compression of the entries will be different too.
And after all it's not like the size of the web version of your movie somehow matters during the production. Keep shooting, stop worrying...

Yeah there will be guidelines, very specific requirements, and if you screw it up no big deal, the world's not gonna end.. but you will be disqualified.
