Panning head fro jib...???

I've been thinking about buying a mini jib. Cobra crane or something similar. But the fact that the head doesn't pan drives me crazy. Has anyone modified theirs to add a panning feature?

I'm a moron with this kind of thing but there must be an easy way to acomplish this.

Ideas?
