It will be either the last weekend in November 26th/27th or the first weekend in December 3rd/4th.......

Not sure of location yet, that's why I'm checking in on who'd be interested and where you guys are located. If the majority is located in NY and north Jersey then I'll use a location in that genral area and the same goes for the PA and central/south Jersey areas.

I say it has to happen in NYC. Most NYers dont have cars and only use subways. Places outside NYC mainly use cars for transportation so it would be fair thisway

Again, it's very easy to get to New Jersey from the city by using NJTransit out of Penn Station--especially if the meeting is held in Northern or Central New Jersey. I'm fine with commuting into the city via train if it's held there but I just don't understand this "I can't get out of the city because I don't have a car" mentality. It's hella easy, trust me.

No offense, but there are like a billion filmmakers in the city. They are certainly welcome at a Jersey meeting, but if I were them I would just start up a group in the city.

Those of us in the burbs have a much greater need for networking.

While I have wheels, though, I must concur -- getting to Jersey via public transportation is probably easier than driving (but I've got a need for speed...). First weekend in December would be my preference, BTW.

Ok, Jersey it is. NY folks, it's easy to get to by train or car. I'm thinking the Starbucks in Linden might be ideal again but not 100% decided on that as of now.

First Saturday in December will be the day..... 12-03-05.

Time will be 12:30pm.

My writer's group meets the first Saturday of each month from 9 to 12 in a great little coffee/pastry place. If you want I can check to see if they have the afternoon free. It is a private back room and they are a block away from a train station (for those who might need it).

It's in Chatham.

It's exit 142 on the Parkway and 14C on the Turnpike. It's about 1/2 an hour out of the city and as I mentioned it is a block away from the train station. If you've ever been to the Short Hills Mall, it is about a mile away from there.

Some help..........

Half of Linden Airport is not there anymore,(thats an old map). The Starbucks is in a big Shopping Center, there's a Home Depot and Targets there next to whats left of the airport.
It's also directly across the highway(Rte. 1) from the GM plant

It's also a 3-5 minute cab ride from Linden train station, just say your going to starbucks in the home depot shopping plaza
