Does film have, so to speak "infinite" resolution? what can you compare resolution to in terms of a film frame?

35mm film has been calculated (by George Lucas of all people) to have equivalent of 13 mega pixels of resolution. The CCD size equivalent in a video camera would be over 1 1/2"
