O.K so I got my XL2 a month ago (finally...) and I made a little short. It's the first thing i shot with an xl2. Earlier I was an xl1s-user....

Technical spec:
- xl2 (+3x wide lens)
- manfrotto 525mvb+503 head
- 3 filter set by canon
- glidecam smoothshooter
- 500W halogen light with a softbox.
- it took me 8h to shoot it.

//noCC grabs may be a liitle different cause I exported everything directly from Premiere and I don't remember the exact location of each grab at the timeline)

Nice stuff I shot a feature with the xl 2 and I'm telling you with a mini 35 you can do wonders. LOOks Good!

Assuming those stills are all from the same movie,
I' find the color correction is quite different for each scene:
Pic 1 and 2 look more like from a docu while Pic 7 looks quite filmish.

In Pic 6: is that a white wall behind the kids? If so, white balance did
not work out too well? Or is that just my monitor that gives me a
yellow-ish wall?

Just my unexperienced $.02

Oli?

Is it possible the wall was not pure white, say like the China on the cabinet?

About CC: Basicly I wanted to establish some difference in time of day (short is 10 minutes long and has scenes at 10am, 6pm, 10pm). Thats why we have here: pict.1,2 (10am), pict.4,5 (6pm, sunset), pict.3,6,7(10pm, indoors). CC was done in basic RT CC from matrox video editing card (brightness, contrast gamma, levels, color balance) for shots at 10am, 10pm and using magic bullet (sunset shots).

Pict.6 as John Hudson said has indeed not white but yellow-ish wall (as you suspected). I'am throwing in shots before CC to the first post so you can see the difference.

ı actually like the one of the boy alone in the door uncorrected. it looked more organic uncorrected.

Nice looking pictures.
If it weren't for the Hvx and Dvx, I'd consider a Canon xl2.
