You go to USC? In California right? What's it like there?

Oh and that video seemed like it shouldn't have had that many songs. I think the artistic value would have been much more apparent if it was just one song throughout. Too many moods and themes for me. Plus it would have been easier!

The whistle in the beginning is the one thing I didn't like. No outside sounds, just music, for me. That's how I like to shoot.

But I'm 16, so don't take my opinions seriously. Haha.

And what is a pd-150? Pardon my ignorance.

Cool stuff otherwise.

it's just a sony camera... but i would have had more sync sound but was unable to record it that's why there was so much music

Yeah, same for me. It's expired, according to the page I got.

No, they don't. I pray they never did.

I have a VX2000, and I'm sadly very disappointed with it's performance compared to other similarly priced cameras.

Then again, I bought it almost three years ago. Back then, it was still fairly cool.

ANYWAY, because I have practically the same camera as you (same chips, lens, controls, etc) I look forward to viewing your film.

I'm sad to hear that. It's a good camera in the hands of the right person. Im going to shoot some new stuff with my 2100 very soon and will post all my results.

'Ill show em!! ' hhaha <----- famous last words...

Any camera is a good camera in the hands of the right person. ;-)

The problem is I think there are better cameras for the price.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong.

For the price, a VX2000 is a fantastic camera. To get a "better" camera, you'd have to pay quite a bit more. Anything else in that price range will look almost identical.

Ah, but I could get a used XL1s for the same price, and it looks much better.

Am I wrong?

Granted, this Sony has a lot of great features. I would say it is better than a standard Xl1 (not XL1s) and that it's probably the most indestructable camera on the market.

This is coming from a reckless teenager who used to live in Alaska. I took this thing on snowmachine trips, dropped it on the ice, and accidentally hit it full on with a machete. All it did was scratch the surface.

So, for wildlife videography, this is probably the best camera available for it's price, and for several prices up.

So, yeah. That comes in handy when I'm doing steadicam videography on my roller blades or bicycle. Smooth video, but if I crash, no worries. This cam won't bust.

the pd-150 is still an incredible cam, and it is close, but not the same as the vx2000. The pd-150 has a higher pixel count per CCD than the VX, plus the XLR jacks. Before the FX1, it was Sony's best prosumer model.

And most I have talked (and most reviews I have read) feel that the XL1s picture is a tad soft as compaired to the pd-150. If given the choice between the two, the PD150 hands down.

I'd take the PD150 over the XL1 hands down too. Not over the XL1-S though.

The S has progressive scan. That's rather important in my mind, for some strange reason.
