I shot super8 film and had it transfered to video (miniDV). I edited in Avid xpress pro in a 29.97 project. I finished the editing and in playback in avid everything looked perfect and smooth. Next i exported it as a QT reference. Lastly, i imported the QT reference file into DVD Architect, and authored the DVD.

When i played the dvd back in my dvd player, whenever the frame moved, horizontal lines appear. It looks like something to do with the pulldown?

Based on the process that i have already done... what is the problem and what is the best way to correct it from here????

Dasonras,
Don't know much about Avid QT reference files, but have you tried to render an MPEG2 from Avid and importing that into DVDA?
The original transfer to DV should have resolved any pulldown issues as your "perfect and smooth" playback in your NLE indicates (you did check it on an external video monitor didn't you?)
DVDA does a great job when fed a compatible MPEG2 file.
Hope this helps.

OKay finally fixed it. I tried over 50 different export settings and found what the issue was. I corrected it by exporting from Avid as a QT movie with a SINGLE field order non-interlace. Apparently i had it on interlace (bottom fields first)... which evidently become noticable on the transfer.

thanks anyway.
