I know I screwed up in a couple of places and the audio could have been better, but for most of this little ditty, I was the only crew. This isn't going anywhere it was simply done for my own learning and amusement and I don't think I could secure the music rights even if I wanted to. Just wanted to post it and see what you guys think.
Be warned, I also need to learn more about compression! This is 5 minutes long and is about 64meg...

hahaha!!!! I had a feeling that old Eva was just that sort of vixen, sitting there all stoic and seemingly unmoved by his charm.
Any other comments will come to you in the PM.

Now that I think about it, I probably should have used something else. Sorry, my mind hasn't been my own lately....

ok got it working. Very nice work. Loved the opening dolly and tracking shot along with the opening credits. The cut to the man opeing the shower curtain is great. The lighting is very well done. Slowed down towards the end (i think he was talking for a little 2 long) and the end credits music obvioulsy fit in tirms of lyrics but i dont really think the score went. Acting was very good, nat sound was great. Very fun to watch and better than i could have done.
How did you do that glowing effect on the whites in the workout room and what focal length (35mm equivelent) if you know, did you use for the bathroom dolly?
worth the download!
edit: i just watched i again and just wanted to bring to your attention if you didnt notice there is a small pulsating glare off the gold plates in the background in the 4th to last shot. Its possible its becasue of the compression but have a look in teh original footage to make sure its not something like the cameras autofocus being thrown off.

Matt,
This is one of those movie shorts that simply adds to my excitement of owning the XL2. The dolly shots were slick as glass and the color was beautiful. If I may ask, what did use for color correction? overall, the whole thing looked very professional so do keep up the great work.

P.S. Off the subject, but what was the name of the first song in the movie? It can fit so many different things in a film/movie. Plus, I've always wanted to know the title of it. LOL.

The first song was Figaro from the Barber of Seville (Not the Figaro from the Marriage of Figaro).
I use Digital Film Tools stuff almost exclusively. Great set of tools.
Thanks for the nice words.

Hey Matt,
The final project came out solid, congrats on finishing it. The dolly shot on the opening was real nice. I had my wife watch it to give her a giggle, but she figured it out halfway through the monologue.
Still, nicely done-

Thank you! Yeah, I thought about trying to disguise it more with foley or something, but I rather like the commentary it makes. Besides, like I said, this was for fun and learning more than anything else.
Thanks again!
