What camcorder produces highest quality still frames?

Is there a camcorder made yet that can produce really high-res
digital stills like the high-end digital still cameras?
Any help is much appreciated.

In a word, no.

I heard that Corpse Bride was filmed entirely with Canon Mark II SLR digitals. Tells you something about the capabilites of camcorders for still images. It's that old saw jack-of-all-trades, master of none...camcorders for video, cameras for stills.
